Alamo Drafthouse desired a high-performing, aesthetically attractive seating solution that was able to maximise their theatres’ seating capacity without sacrificing functionality or patron comfort. Camatic were able to able to work with their unique requirements for their refurbishments and offer a customised version of the Valencia Motion chair.

Camatic reduced both the dimensional footprint and maximum overall length and height of the chair when fully reclined; developed a unique reclining mechanism enabling chairs to be positioned directly against rear walls, and developed hardware that allowed installation onto the various angled floors of existing theatres.

After the success of the first installation of 600 Valencia Motions at the cinema chain’s Mueller, Texas location, more continue to be installed in further locations across Texas, Colorado, Virginia and North Carolina.
